Frozen: The Book of the Film (ISBN 978-1-4723-2520-4) is a book adaptation of the film Frozen. The chronology is laid out in a similar way to that of the film, and all events are present, though some are not given in as much detail as depicted in the film itself.

The book was also released under the title Frozen: The Junior Novelization.

Synopsis

Frozen is the story of Anna, who sets off on an epic journey to save her kingdom....

Teaming up with an adventurer named Kristoff, Anna searches for her sister, Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in an eternal winter. Discover the story of the film inside!

Contents

In the center of the book is a spread of fourteen screenshots taken from the film, and one of Elsa taken from the teaser trailer. All of the images are captioned to accompany what is featured in the rest of the book.

Differences from the film

  • Anna is awoken by the northern lights, whereas in the film, she is shown to already be awake.
  • While the sisters play, Elsa creates ice slides as opposed to the snow peaks featured in the film.
  • Elsa watches Anna attempt to build a snowman by herself, only to cover her window with ice.
  • The scenes where Elsa is pacing round in her palace, when Hans leaves to find Anna, and the assault on Elsa's ice palace all feature in the same chapter, unlike in the film when Anna arrives at the ice palace and first encounters the trolls taking place in between these scenes.
  • When Hans tells the dignitaries of Anna's death, he is described as laughing to himself.
  • Parts of the castle are damaged, and Elsa uses her ice powers to repair these sections.
